# Booklyverse Founding Author Program Addendum

**Version:** 2026-07-20 (Program Addendum v1.0)<br />
**Effective date:** July 20, 2026

This Founding Author Program Addendum (the **“Addendum”**) supplements the Booklyverse Terms of Service, Author Agreement, and Author Payment & Refund Policy. If this Addendum conflicts with those documents, this Addendum controls only for an accepted participant’s Founding Program benefits and eligible sales. All other terms remain in effect.

Outside this Addendum, the standard revenue share pays an author 80% of Net Proceeds and applies a 20% Booklyverse platform fee. This Addendum creates a limited exception for accepted Founding Authors and eligible sales; it does not change the standard terms for other authors or ineligible sales.

## 1. Applications and acceptance

Founding Author applications are offered through a limited application window. The window may close when capacity is reached. Current availability is shown on the [Founding Authors page](/founding-authors). Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance, and Booklyverse may accept, waitlist, or decline an application based on program fit and readiness.

You become a Founding Author only after Booklyverse confirms your acceptance and activates the Founding benefit on your account. The benefit does not apply retroactively to earlier sales.

## 2. Program duration and notice

Founding Author benefits continue for the duration of the Founding Program. The Program does not have a promised fixed term.

If Booklyverse materially changes or ends the Program, participants will receive advance notice by email, an in-product notice, or both. A change will apply prospectively from the stated effective date and will not reduce valid earnings already accrued before that date. Refunds, chargebacks, fraud adjustments, and other corrections connected to earlier sales may still be applied afterward.

## 3. Eligible digital book sales

An **“Eligible Digital Book Sale”** is a paid sale of a participating author’s own digital book content completed through Booklyverse while the author’s Founding benefit is active and the transaction is marked eligible. This may include eligible book, chapter, bundle, preorder, or gift purchase flows.

The benefit does not apply to taxes, free transactions, physical goods, services, tips, advertising, sales completed before activation or after the benefit ends, transactions outside Booklyverse, or transactions that are fraudulent, manipulated, refunded, charged back, or otherwise ineligible under the Terms or Author Agreement.

## 4. Founding economics and Net Proceeds

Founding Authors pay **0% Booklyverse platform fees** on Eligible Digital Book Sales during the Founding Program. Founding Authors receive **100% of Net Proceeds** from those sales.

**“Net Proceeds”** means the amount attributable to an Eligible Digital Book Sale after deducting payment processor fees, applicable taxes, refunds, chargebacks, and any author-approved discounts. Third-party payment processor fees and the other listed deductions are not Booklyverse platform fees.

The 0% platform-fee benefit does not guarantee sales, revenue, discoverability, or any minimum payout amount.

## 5. Pricing control

No paid plan is required to choose your book’s price. Prices must remain within the technical ranges and pricing rules supported by Booklyverse. As of this version, an author may offer a book for free or choose a paid price from $0.99 through $999.99. Booklyverse may update supported ranges under its generally applicable terms and will not characterize a technical range as unlimited pricing.

## 6. Payouts, refunds, and adjustments

Payout setup, identity verification, payout thresholds, settlement timing, availability, and transfer eligibility remain subject to the Author Payment & Refund Policy and the payment processor’s requirements.

When an Eligible Digital Book Sale is refunded, charged back, discounted, or corrected, the corresponding amount may be removed from available earnings or offset against future earnings as described in the Author Payment & Refund Policy. The Founding benefit does not convert excluded amounts into author earnings.

## 7. Founding Author recognition

Founding Author recognition is separate from the platform-fee benefit. Ending the economic benefit does not, by itself, remove an earned Founding Author designation. Recognition remains subject to account existence, content and conduct rules, fraud prevention, and platform moderation.

## 8. Ownership and exclusivity

Authors retain ownership of their work. The Program does not require exclusivity and does not expand the license granted in the Author Agreement.

## 9. Suspension or removal

Booklyverse may pause or end a participant’s benefit for fraud, manipulated transactions, material breach of the Terms or Author Agreement, or conduct that threatens readers, authors, the payment system, or the Program. Where practical, Booklyverse will provide notice and an opportunity to respond. Valid earnings accrued before suspension or removal remain payable, subject to ordinary refunds, chargebacks, processor adjustments, and legal obligations.

## 10. Changes, questions, and acceptance

Booklyverse may update this Addendum as described in Section 2. The version and effective date shown above identify the terms you accepted.
